ABOUT SONOMA PIZZA CO.

Our mission is to showcase the bounty of incredible food, wine, and more that Sonoma County has to offer. Specializing in multiple styles of hand-crafted pizzas, including wood-fired, as well as fresh salads, seasonal sides, and vegan/gluten free options. A hyper-local selection of wine, beer, craft ABV cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages provide the perfect match for our cuisine.

DISHWASHER

The Dishwasher position for Sonoma Pizza Company is a key position reporting to the Executive Chef. The right candidate should be familiar with operating a commercial dishwasher and proper janitorial procedures. We are looking for someone who loves working in a team environment and is confident enough in their abilities to share this enthusiasm with their co-workers and our guests. 

 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a dishwasher. Previous experience as a prep cook is a plus. Required skills include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Familiarity with the operation of a commercial dishwasher

  • Familiarity with janitorial equipment and proper procedures

  • Knowledge of preparation of food used in the cooking process

  • Ability to make the RIGHT decisions instantly and consistently that gets the best from every situation

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Reliable and flexible under pressure

  • Consistently respectful and mindful of our objectives for service and quality

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Excellent communications skills 

  • Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. - or ask for support

 

Responsibilities

 

The Dishwashing job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Keep and maintain a clean and presentable dish area

  • Sweeping and mopping floors

  • Processing food items to be ready to be cooked for service

  • Weekly meetings with the Executive Chef bringing a positive, goal orientated spirit to the meeting

  • Communicate with co-workers in a respectful manner

  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Assists in all areas of the kitchen when needed

  • A willingness to learn and grow professionally

  • Participate in team meetings

PREP COOK

The Prep Cook position for Sonoma Pizza Company is a key position reporting to the Executive Chef. The right candidate should be familiar with preparing food for service and a strong knowledge of proper food handling and storage. We are looking for someone who loves working in a team environment and is confident enough in their abilities to share this enthusiasm with their co-workers and our guests. 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a prep cook. Previous experience with dough management is a plus. Required skills include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Familiarity all preparation of food used in the cooking process

  • Knowledge working with dough, specifically portioning and shaping 

  • Conscious of quality, cost and seasonal availability

  • Ability to make the RIGHT decisions instantly and consistently that gets the best from every situation

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Excellent food handling skills/techniques and portion management

  • Reliable and flexible under pressure

  • Consistently respectful and mindful of our objectives for service and quality

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Excellent communications skills 

  • Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. - or ask for support

Responsibilities

 

The Prep Cook job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Checking in and storing deliveries

  • Processing food items to be ready to be cooked for service

  • Weekly meetings with the Executive Chef bringing a positive, goal orientated spirit to the meeting

  • Communicate with co-workers in a respectful manner

  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Assists in all areas of the kitchen when needed

  • A willingness to learn and grow professionally

COOK / PIZZAIOLO

The Pizzaiolo/Line Cook position for Sonoma Pizza Company is a key position reporting to the Executive Chef. The right candidate should be familiar with multiple styles of pizza including Neapolitan, Detroit, and Family style as well as wood fire ovens and dough management. We are looking for someone who loves pizza and is confident enough in their abilities to share this enthusiasm with their co-workers and our guests. 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook and/or pizzaiolo. Previous experience with dough management is a must. Required skills include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Familiarity w/all stations in the kitchen

  • Knowledge of wood fire cooking 

  • Prior experience with dough management

  • Conscious of quality, cost and seasonal availability

  • Ability to make the RIGHT decisions instantly and consistently that gets the best from every situation

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Excellent food handling skills/techniques and portion management

  • Reliable and flexible under pressure

  • Consistently respectful and mindful of our objectives for service and quality

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Excellent communications skills 

  • Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. - or ask for support

Responsibilities

 

The Pizzaiolo/ Line Cook job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies following recipes and menu prep as Chef directs

  • Weekly meetings with the Executive Chef bringing a positive, goal orientated spirit to the meeting

  • Communicate with co-workers in a respectful manner

  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Assists in all areas of the kitchen when needed

  • A willingness to learn and grow professionally

  • Participate in team meetings

SERVER

The Server position at Sonoma Pizza Company is fast paced and dynamic and reports directly to the General Manager. The right candidate should have a love of hospitality and have the experience to share this enthusiasm with their co-workers and guests. 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Server in a restaurant of similar quality. Experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred. Other qualifications include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Ability to embrace our core values and take ownership of job responsibilities 

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Experienced to make the right decision in a fast paced environment

  • Proven capability to lead by example

  • Posses the desire to learn and grow professionally

  • Must be available to work weekends 

  • Experience with Toast POS or other cloud-based systems

  • Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs - or ask for support

Responsibilities

 

A Server’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Providing menu knowledge to guests 

  • Making drinks according to the SPC recipe

  • Understand kitchen procedures related to food running and packaging to go orders

  • Complete daily pre and post shift side work

  • Help create a memorable experience for our guests by providing informed, genuine hospitality

  • Understand all food, beverage and retail related products including ingredients, purveyor information, and allergy restrictions 

  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Uphold our core values when interacting with guests and co-workers

BUSSER

The Busser position at Sonoma Pizza Company is fast paced and dynamic and reports directly to the General Manager and Chef. The right candidate should have a love of restaurants (especially pizza!) and the experience to work in an organized and timely manner. 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Busser in a restaurant of similar quality. Experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred. Other qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to embrace our core values and take ownership of job responsibilities 

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Experienced to make the right decision in a fast-paced service

  • Proven capability to multitask various job duties

  • Posses the desire to learn and grow professionally

  • Must be available to work weekends including Sundays

  • Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs - or ask for support

Responsibilities

 

A Busser’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in daily pre shift meetings

  • Understand kitchen procedures related to food running and packaging to go orders

  • Complete daily pre and post shift side work

  • Study and know all menu items including allergies and ingredients

  • Replenish all dining room supplies as needed 

  • Polish glassware

  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Uphold our core values when interacting with guests and co-workers

The Supervisor position at Sonoma Pizza Company is an important position reporting directly to the General Manager. The right candidate should have a love of hospitality and have the experience to lead and share this enthusiasm with their co-workers. 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Server. Previous experience as a Supervisor or Manager is preferred. Other qualifications include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Ability to embrace our core values and take ownership of job responsibilities 

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Reliable and flexible under pressure

  • Proven capability to lead by example

  • Posses the desire to learn and grow professionally

  • Must be available to work weekends including Sunday 

  • Experience with Toast POS or other cloud-based systems

Responsibilities

 

A Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily operations of a Server 

  • Some admin responsibilities including financials and daily inventory

  • Help to train the front of the house staff

  • Perform opening and closing duties

  • Understand all food, beverage and retail related products including ingredients, purveyor information, and allergy restrictions 

  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
